Climbing Mt. Makalu is a great activity and lies in the north east region of Nepal and Mt.Makalu is situated in lat.27K 53'23''N. and long. 87K 05'29''E. on the Nepal-Tibet border and is a close neighbor to Mt. Everest. Despite being the fifth tallest among the eight thousanders, this mountain is still virtually 'new'. The French Expedition team led by Jean Franco were the first to reach the Makalu summit back in 1955, a year after the Americans set off for the first ever attempt on the mountain. Climbing Mt. Makalu has five routes and four variations along with other interesting opportunities like the West Face, the Northeast and North Flanks (Tibet). Our trek follows one of the most remote and unfrequented areas of Nepal, starting at Tumlingtar plateau just above the Arun River, through the snow, rain and cloud prone Kauma. Makalu Base Camp is just south of the Barun Glacier at an elevation of 4823m.

Preparation for Climbing Mt. Makalu ; after completing all the logistic process we fly to Tumlintar just above the Arun River to Makalu Base Camp at approximately 5100 meters. We'll ascend via the Northwest Ridge and establish 4 high camps on the mountain. Our experienced and professional high altitude climbing Sherpa will fix ropes as required. According to the clientfs fitness, weather condition we will be climbing up and down the mountain several times, acclimatizing and stocking the higher camps. Our team work and professional support will make successful scale the summit of Mt Makalu.

Our strong and committed expedition team for Climbing Mt. Makalu and climbing guide will fix ropes as required for mountaineering the Mount Maklau. Depending on your fitness, you will be moving up and down the mountain several times, acclimatizing and stocking the higher camps.Climbing Mt. Makalu expedition is fully supported. Our expedition staff will manage the expedition and has considerable experience in the Makalu-Barun National Park. Mt. Makalu Expedition is a very beautiful but extremely challenging, and potentially dangerous mountain. Barely more than 200 mountaineers have stood on her summit Mt. Makalu should be treated with the utmost respect. Mt. Makalu expedition is an impressive mass of red granite and close neighbor of Mt Everest. There are several routes for climbing Mt. Makalu on the mountain as many as five but our climbing guide will take you to Mount Makalu expedition through safety way to reach your destination.

Day 01 - Arrive in TIA Tribhuwan International Airport Kathmandu-1350 m and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02 - Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing-Optional.
Day 03 - Document and briefing.
Day 04 - Fly to Tumlingtar.
Day 05 - Tumlingtar to Khadabri.
Day 06 - Khadbari to Bhotebas 1720m.
Day 07 - Bhotebas to Num 2200 m.
Day 08 - Num to Sedua
Day 09 - Sedua to Tashigaon 2200m.
Day 10 - Tashigaon to Kauma. Below Shipton pass.2800 m
Day 11 - Cross shipton and Mumbuk Passes.
Day 12 - Trek to Kharka 2646m.
Day 13 - Kharka to Shersung 4614m.
Day 14 - Shersung to Makalu Base camp 5250 m.
Day 15 - Extra day for weather in Base Camp.
Day 16-46 - climbing period of Mt. Makalu.
Day 47 - Retrace the trail to lower Kharka.
Day 48 - Retrace the trail to high kharka.
Day 49 - High Kharka to Mumbuk.
Day 50 - Re Cross the pass. Descend to Tashi gaon.
Day 51 - Tashi Gaon to Bhotebas.
Day 52 - Bhotebas to Khadbari.
Day 53 - Khadbari toTumlingtar.
Day 54 - Fly to Kathmandu.
Day 55 - In Kathmandu.
Day 56 - Transfer to airport to depart from Kathmandu to your own destination.
