Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Kodari. ItÂ’s about 6 hours of drive to reach Kodari. Depending on the situation of the road, we drive/walk up to Zhang Mu. It is situated at the height of 2300 meter. And it is the place to clear Chinese Immigration farmalities. We then continue driving up to Nyalam (3800m)
It is long day driving of our journey from Nyalam to Lhatse. Visit Milarepa's cave enroute. Our fist stop of the second day will be at Lalung La Pass situated at the altitude of 5200m. It is possible to view Shisabangma Peak which is the highest peak in Tibet. Enroute, we will be able to view Everest and Cho Yu from further driving to Lo Tingri.Then drive to the last destination of the day in Lhatse (400m)
About 4 hours of driving will lead us to the second largest and one of the historical city Shigatse (3900 m.) tour . On the way, we will be able to see/visit/observe Tshilumpo Monastery, one of the important Monasteries in Tibet to introduce/prove its cultural and religious richness En route, visit Shakya Monastery before crossing the Lalung-La (4500 m) and continuing across the plains to Shigatse (3900m)
Monasteries like Shalu and Kumbum are the attractions of the day for today. ItÂ’s about two and half to three hours of drive to get Gyatse. It includes activities like visiting Gyantse with its amazing sights - Khumbum, Palkor Chode Monastery and Gyantse Dzong.
It is also the long drive day throughout our journey. The highlight of this day is the beautiful turquoise lake, Yamdruk - Tso. After crossing the Kamba- La and the Yarlung (Brahmaputra) River, the journey ends in Lhasa. And on the way we will be observing Karo La with unforgettable beautiful glacier. Be fascinated with it.
