Adventure Zone Trekking & Expedition (P) LTD organizes Mustang Tiji Festival Trekin the fabled and historical Kingdom of Mustang. Mustang Tiji festivabegins in the harvest season and it runs for three-days.Tiji Festival< has very significant meaning: Chasing of demons'. Monks donning masks and colorful costumes enact the story of Dorje Jono who fought against his demon father to save the Kingdom of Mustang from falling apart.

Tiji festival is celebrated in the Lo Mangthan: located in the Himalayas of Nepal on the border with Tibet, this miniature royal domain answers to its own king even as its host country has rejected a national monarchy. Mustang Tiji Festival Trek represents Mustang's culture in its pure form from the Red Hat sect of Tibetan Buddhism (contrasting to the Yellow Hat sect to which the Dalai Lama belongs.) and it remains one of the only spots on earth where Tibetans live according to their own unimpeded traditions. After attending 3 days Mustang Tiji Festival through Mustang Tiji festival trek, we will walk amidst stunning sculpted rock formations backed by snow-capped peaks. We will visit homes, villages and calm monasteries and the welcome will be warm.

The Tiji Festival in Mustang's ancient walled capital city of Lo Manthang is the highlight of Mustang Tiji Festival Trek. Thousands of men, women and children not only locals but also many foreign trekkers and viewers participate in the annual elaborate re-enactment of the Tiji myth, telling of a deity named Dorje Jon who battles his demon father to save the kingdom from destruction.you can see all these elements played by local people in Mustang Tiji Festival Trek. It will be our unique privilege to witness the same color, costume, dancing and ritual that were displayed by these people in this place more than six hundred years ago.
