Nowadays we can go to Jomsom my bus and can have sightseeing around it and to Muktinath then come back by the bus again. But good way of doing this massif trek is to fly into Jomsom which is quite spectacular since the plane is small that flies between the massifs of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna South to get into the narrow Jomsom Valley! This describes the route through the Mustangi culture of Kagbeni through Jharkot and to the shrine at Muktinath then retraces through Jomsom and the Thakali village side to Tatopani, then passes through Magar and Gurung Villages to end at Pokhara. The entire trek is richer with the natural beauty of waterfalls, green fields and breathtaking mountain views, which can rejuvenate your entire being. This trek reminds ancient trading route from India to Tibet up the Kali Gandaki valley starting from the roadhead near Pokhara and finishing at the pilgrimage site of Muktinath (3802m). We experience a range of surroundings, from the culture of the lowland villages to the splendor of the high Himalaya.
This trek gives many spectacular views of the two Himalayan giants; Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, and gives a flavor of the Tibet-like country north of Jomsom and also known as pilgrim trek for those who go there more to pray Muktinath than for trekking.
This is indeed a classic trek which allows access to the high mountains of the Himalaya within a reasonable time frame and without ascending to extreme altitude. Accommodation and food is provided in the local lodges or in the tented camp as per your requirements.
This trek also included a tour of Katmandu’s World Heritage Sites including Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, Swoyambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square and the most picturesque valley of Nepal – Pokhara by White water Rafting or by bus or by Flight in your choice.
