Day by day Itinerary
Day 01 - Arrive In Kathmandu International Airport. 1350 m

Arrival in Kathmandu, reception at the airport and pick you up from airport to Hotel. Briefing about all the programs

Day 02 - Guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley.

Visit Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Durbar Square and Soyambhunath Temple- all carry historical, cultural, architectural and religious value and all are listed to world heritage Site.

Day 03 - In Kathmandu for collecting papers for expedition.

Briefing in Ministry of tourism and free time in Kathmandu also can be used to shopping for remaining gears if you need any.

Day 04 - Fly from Kathmandu to Biratnagar and drive at Basantpur 2200m

Our point of starting of the Kanchenjungha Trekking. Journey by plane and then bus/car may make you tired, in order to get back everything order you may rest at Bshantapur in remaining time.

Day 05 - From Basantpur to Gupha Pokhari situated at the height of 2930m

with the view of Chhamlang, Mera, Everest, Makalu, Lhotse and Kanchenjunga. It’s about 6 hours of walk depending on style and speed of walking. Over night at Gupha Pokhari. Remaining things will be explained by our well experienced guide.

Day 06 - From Gupha Pokhari to Dovan 750m

Make your morning wake up and see around the location, be fresh and have breakfast with tea or coffee and start walking through rhododendron and chestnut forest, cultivated field along the rivers.

Day 07 - Doban to Mitlung 800m

It is about 5 hours of walking after daily activities in the last night hotel along the river and villages. Pass smile to villagers and say namaste to receive innocent smile with no selfishness.

Day 08 - Departure from Mitlung to Chirwa 1200m

Be fresh, have breakfast and start trekking up to chirwa situated at the altitude of 1200 m below than the height of Kathmandu valley. You will be encountering with the innocent nature and smile of the villagers throughout the way.

Day 09 - Chirwa to Sokathim 1640m

We have to get ready to walk up about 5 hours. Today we are walking up and up climbing from Tamor valley to Gunsa valley. Ultimately arrive at Sokathim situated at the altitude of 1640 m. Dinner and Hotel/camp at Sokathim.

Day 10 - Sokatham to Amjilessa 2490m

Today we are walking about 5-6 hours after having fresh in sokatham following a nice waterfall in Ghaiya Bari. We have to arrive in Amjilessa grounded at the altitude of 2490 m.

Day 11 - Amjilessa to Kyapra: 2680m

It is easy going because we are hiking with the rate of 200-250 m of difference every day which makes easy to acclimatize. We are trekking for 5 hours and we have to arrive at Kyapra situated 2680.

Day 12 - Kyapra to Ghunsa 3330m:

Our guide will remind you about today’s trekking and have to walk about 5 hours through Tibetan racing village and rhododendrons forest.

Day 13 - Leaving Ghunsa to Rambuk Khaka 3950m

Leave Ghunsa by 7-7:30 AM after getting fresh, our guide will explain about today’s information. We should walk about 6hours to get today’s destination along the Ghunsa Khola ascending.

Day 14 - Trekking from Rambuk Kharka to Lhonak 4790m

It is our end of the second week trek hiking up and up every day. We walk about 8 hours enjoying views of Jannu arrive at Lhonak situated at the height of 4790 m. And back to the Rambuk Kharka 3950 m

Day 15 - Leaving Lhonak to Pang Pema/Kanchenjunga Base Camp 5140 m.

It’s our goal achieving day of the trip because we go to see Kanchenjungha Base Camp. It’s about 4-5 hours of walk.

Day 16 - Rest day in Kanchanjungha Base Camp

It is better to explore around the Base Camp with rest. In the morning enjoy sun rise from the top of Kanchenjungha, the third highest peak in the world.

Day 17-42 - climbing period on Mt. Kanchanjungha 8586 M.

Duration: 25 days and all these days will be used hiking up and coming down to the base camp in order to be fit physically for the expedition. Height: 8586m. From the Base Camp, for the lodges we will be using high quality ISO standard tented camp with high security set by our well experienced climbing Sherpas. Adventure Zone Trekking & Expedition’s management team of the Kanchanjungha expedition team is very much conscious of its expedition clients to know all about their physical condition and high altitude sickness. In case of any doubt regarding physical inability caused by high altitude sickness, the team will take action to bring the people from the high camp to second camp or to the base camp and after he/she gets fit the management team will take him or her up again. All these 25 days will be using in such activities and because of which it will be less difficult to summit the top. Spare days that are shown in the itinerary may not be enough or may be more also but whatever is the case our itinerary is customizable.

Day 43 - back to Rambuk Kharka 3950m.

Within 25 days we will summit the top and clean the Base Camp up then from the Base Camp we follow the same way back to Rambuk Kharka.It is easy to come back. So it will be possible to arrive back to Rambuck Kharka.

Day 44 - Rambuk Kharka to Ghunsa

It is 44th day of our trekking and we will be changing our destination from the next day. A bit of difficult way but adventurous and new style in comparing the days that we passed in this trek. Preparation for the Lapang pass

Day 45 - Ghunsa to Naya Kharka.

Some porters leave to Tseram via 5 passes Sinion La 4660m and Leaving for Lapsang through rhododendron forest to the Yamotari glacier and climbing from left bank to Naya Kharka 4080m

Day 46 - Climbing Rocky Mountain to Lapsaga La Phedi.

Lapsang La 5110m and camp Lapsang 4300m about it’s our long day trek.

Day 47 - excursion to Yalung and Oktang south face base camp of Kanchenjunga

Day 48 - Trek down to Tseram 3870m.

Trek next day to Tseram after excursion to yalung and Oktang south face of Kanchenjungha Base camp.

Day 49 - Tseram to Omji Khola camp

Khola River, it means we are walking down hill of the area. Our Guide will explain everything about village, people, culture and other factor of the life factor.

Day 50 - Omji Khola camp to Phumphe

It is about 8 hour of walking through Rhododendron forest, village, people and rivers.

Day 51 - Phumphe to Keswa 1960m

It is about 5 hour walking day. It is very nice terrace fields, rivers jungle and so on.

Day 52 - Deswa to Taplejung 2300m

4-5 hours of walking and we will arrive today to Taplejung bus station to come forward to Kathmandu or we can fly from here also.

Day 53 - Bus to Birtanagar.

Long way to come here from Taplejung.

Day 54 - Fly to Kathmandu from Biratnager.

It is 45 minutes flight time and arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel and take a rest.

Day 55 - Final Departure or join other program with Adventure Zone Trekking & Expedition (p) LTD.
